Ledley King insists there is no time to feel sorry for ourselves following our last minute defeat at Newcastle on Sunday.
The captain feels there are enough big games coming up in the coming weeks to put that reverse well out of our minds, starting with Fulham at The Lane on Boxing Day.
And Ledley is also taking a number of positives from the performance at St James' Park, which he believes should have warranted much more than a 2-1 loss.
"The performance was a good one overall," said the skipper. "When you look at the chances Newcastle were able to create, it was next to nothing really.
"Considering we were away from home against a team that's been in good form recently, the performance was ok.
"And there are plenty of games coming thick and fast now, so there's no time for us to be feeling sorry for ourselves.
"It would be the same had we'd won, we wouldn't have been able to rest on our laurels with the amount of games coming up."
