No game pain for Reserves

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Chris Hughton will be looking for his reserve team players to take out their frustrations on Wimbledon on Tuesday night.

The second string have played just one league game and just a handful of friendlies since the start of December with the unpredictable weather playing havoc with his plans.

Boss Chris admitted: "It’s been a frustrating time, particularly for the players, because you can train every day but the players want games.

"If you are playing regularly for the first team then you will be happy but if not, you want games. You can see their frustrations."

Our last action in the FA Premier Reserve League was against a strong Chelsea outfit a fortnight ago, a 4-2 defeat.

"If I look at the Chelsea game there were a lot of positives out of it and I would probably be happy if we had a similar performance, eradicating the goals we conceded, but the performance was good," Chris reflected.

"I think Wimbledon will be a young side because the first team has a replay against Middlesbrough on the Wednesday. But there is never ever a game against Wimbledon that is an easy game.

"You know more or less how they will play and they will have young lads with bundles of enthusiasm and make it as hard a game as we would want it to be."
