'No better feeling' - Bale

Gareth Bale suggests the big team spirit amongst the lads is showing in our results on the pitch after a perfect week for the Club.

Our famous North London derby win at the Emirates the Saturday before last was followed up by success against Werder Bremen in Europe and Sunday’s last gasp Premier League win over Liverpool.

That’s four straight wins in all competitions now and our in-form winger believes we are relishing every game during this spell.

He said: “It was a massive week for the Club. We had two unbelievable results in the league and to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League was something special. We just want to build on this now.

“The lads are full of confidence, the team’s playing well and there’s no better feeling. It’s a great team to play in.

“We’ve got a close squad, everyone gets along well and I think that shows in the game. We work for each other and that’s why we’re getting results.”

However, Sunday’s win over Liverpool came only after falling behind in a game for the 12th time so far this season.

But although Gareth appreciates this is something that needs to be addressed if we are to continue on current form, he insists the lads never lose the belief that they can win games from any situation, as we have shown on numerous occasions.

He added: “A lot of our points this season have come from being behind so we went in at half-time [on Sunday] and remained confident that we’d get something out of the game.

“We know we’re capable of scoring at any time and we just went for it, took a little bit of a gamble and it paid off. Everybody’s happy.

“But it’s not nice going behind, even though we seem to do well from that position. We definitely want to keep more clean sheets now and keep winning.”
