"Jermain Defoe looked sharp and took his goal well from Crouchy's knockdown and then Niko's second goal was the highlight for me."
Peter Crouch helped set up Niko's opener when his header from Aaron Lennon's cross hit Stephen Ireland on the line before Niko poked home the rebound.
The striker knew Niko well from their days together at Portsmouth and added: "He's a top-class player and you could see that when he was at Portsmouth.
"He scored a couple of goals and the second was fantastic. He's got that quality to unlock defences and he was outstanding again against City."
