Clive Allen will stress to his reserve side to stay focused as they step back on the title trail against Ipswich Town at Stevenage tonight.

The maths are simple enough – if they manage to overcome Ipswich at Broadhall Way, Clive’s men will need just one more point to clinch the Barclays Reserve League South championship.

"It’s all about focusing everyone on what they’ve done so well to get into this position," said coach Clive, whose side have now won 13 of their last 14 fixtures.

"I know the lads are looking to where we are and what could happen but as each game has come around I’ve emphasised to them that we have to maintain our level of performance because if we fall short of that, it doesn’t matter who we play, we’ll come unstuck.

"We’ve experienced that a couple of times and it’s hurt but the lads have always responded in the right way – fortunately we’ve not had that problem too often.

"There is confidence within the group and they have worked really well with each other.

"It’s been all about keeping our good run going and we’ve continued to get the results, so we’re delighted - but we now want to finish it off."

Squad: Burch, Forecast, McKenna, Huddlestone, Bunjevcevic, Martin, Marney, Ghaly, Jackson, Reid, Barnard, Barcham, Lewis, Mills, Hamed, Davis.
