The players were left disappointed by their display in defeat at home to Villa at the Lane last time out and want to put it right.
That starts at St James’ Park on Sunday as we take on a Newcastle side that has lost five matches on the bounce in the Premier League.
Back in the team against Villa, Federico admitted that loss was a huge blow before stating: “We need to think only about the last six games now and try to get 18 points.
“It’s difficult, but we can do it and we have the team to do it.
“We’re thinking about the first step first, Sunday at Newcastle and try to get the three points there. That’s all we can do.
“We need to have confidence and that’s the case for the six games left.
“We have to start with 100 per cent energy, to keep the ball and to give all our efforts to finish as high as we can in the Premier League.
“We need to be positive and to be confident, that’s most important. We can win these six games, it’s possible.”
