Following the announcement earlier in the week of the new Haringey Community Assistance Centre , Haringey Council has launched details of a new Fund, called the Mayor’s Special Fund, to help raise money for local people who have been affected.
Since the events of the weekend, the Council has received a significant number of people and businesses offering support and the Mayor’s Special Fund now provides a more direct outlet for the many offers of donations which have been made by both businesses such as the Club and individuals in the community.
The Club is committed to supporting the local authority and the community in dealing with the aftermath of these events and will also be supporting the work of the new community assistance centre.
The Club has immediately offered its support to the community and are continuing to discuss how best to tangibly assist with the aftermath of these events with Councillor Claire Kober, Leader of Haringey Council and the local MP, David Lammy.
