Interviews with Michael Dawson and Gus Poyet are now available exclusively on Spurs TV Online as we reflect on Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough and look ahead to this weekend’s trip to Wigan Athletic.Defender ‘Daws’ put in a typically committed display against Gareth Southgate’s side – but he admits he would have traded that in for all three points.

He says: “Going into any football match you always want to win, and when you don’t win you’re disappointed, and Saturday was no different. But sometimes you’ve got to look back and be realistic, especially when your opponents play as well as Boro did in the second half.

“I know we played well in the first half but it just wasn’t to be in the second. We’ve just got to deal with it, move on, and hopefully get three points at Wigan.”

First Team Coach Gus meanwhile heaped the praise on Michael, saying: “He’s been excellent from the moment we arrived. He’s a good trainer as well, which enables him to be at the top of his game in matches.”
