In line with our marvellous new web site, the Club will now re-launch its official monthly magazine, Spurs Monthly, in time for the new season.
The magazine, ever-popular with supporters but in need of a re-vamp to bring it up to date, will no longer be produced 'in house' and a number of new features are planned.
The new editor will be Tony McDonald who has a number of fresh and innovative plans for our new-look magazine.
"In the past, Spurs Monthly has set the trend but has fallen behind in the past year or so," said Tony. "My job is to get it back to its old trail-blazing role and I'm confident that we can do that.
"Our plan is to feature one player comprehensively each month, probably over six or seven pages. This will be a really in-depth feature and will be backed up by other interviews of players in the news.
"Instead of the usual action shots illustrating these stories, we will have our own photographer and we are confident that one of the strengths of the new magazine will be its exclusive off-beat pictures.
"And we are keen to include the fans as much as possible with a whole series of supporter-based features planned"
Added Spurs Press Officer John Fennelly: "The previous editor Jay Bigwood has now left the club and we have taken this opportunity to change our whole approach by bringing in an established independent publisher and utilising their professionalism and experience to give us a better product that we know Spurs fans will respond to.
"We are also seeking to 'harden up' the editorial content to make it a better read while, at the same time, retaining all the benefits of the exclusive access that only an official product like this can enjoy.
"Our new publishers - Football World - have an excellent track record in the market place and we're all looking forward to the August launch."
Once again, Spurs Monthly will be available from all good newsagents and will be on sale around the ground on match days. For subscription information call our Mail Order Hotline on 0208 808 5959.
