Midfielder Dean Marney has signed a new contract to extend his stay at the club.
The Academy product has put pen to paper on a two year extension as he reaches the conclusion of what has been a promising campaign for him. Dean grabbed the headlines back in January with a sensational two-goal show against Everton at the Lane and has since been rewarded with England under-21 recognition.
The 21-year-old has been a first team squad regular this year and Sporting Director Frank Arnesen is happy Dean will continue his progress at the club.
"He is one of the young players who have done very well this year," said Frank. "He has come through the youth team to the first team group and has made his mark. He scored two goals against Everton and was involved in two others, which was brilliant.
"Dean has also been called up to the England under-21 squad and I am very happy he has signed a new contract with us.
"It is a good decision for him and us. He is a young player with the right mentality, he said this is his club and I am delighted."
