New Community partnership

Posted on 20 April 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Tottenham Hotspur Community are pleased to announce a partnership with the North London Deaf Children's Association (NLDCA).

We are working together to provide football-training sessions every two weeks for children, young people and adults who are deaf. The NLDCA also provide other sports and social activities for deaf children and young people, and social opportunities and advice for their parents.

These sessions will be based at the White Hart Lane Indoor Ball Court facility or at a local school in Muswell Hill, North London, they also provide participants with advice and support on joining deaf football clubs or other local community football clubs.

This partnership has been developed by James Isaac, Community Disability Sports Officer and Oliver Monksfield (left), who is our community deaf football coach. Oliver is a fantastic role model for the children and young people as he has recently won Gold for Great Britain at the Deaflympics held in Australia.

Oliver will be at pitch side before the tonight's game against West Brom to talk about his Gold Medal experience, also joining him will be Beverley Ward from the NLDCA to talk about this exciting new partnership.
