Jimmy Neighbour has praised the character of his under-17 charges following the group's positive reaction to a heavy defeat just over a month ago.
The recent intake suffered a 6-0 loss away to Aston Villa on October 4. The response? A 2-0 win over Arsenal and two victories from three games after that.
"They have done well, we beat Arsenal a few weeks ago and it was an excellent result for us, we were unlucky to lose at Birmingham - and we have won our last two," said Jimmy, before returning to his oft-repeated mantra.
"At the end of the day it is not all about winning games, we have always said it is about development.
"It does show they have got character though and some of them are coming along nicely now. We've just got to carry on working at certain parts of our game and them as individuals.
"It is a tough game though and these boys have got to learn to be more consistent than they are. They might play well one week and not so well the next and, if they are to progress and become top players, then the consistency has got to be a little bit better than it is at the moment."
