Previous clubs: Hamburg, Bayer Leverkusen.

Apart from training, what will you do on Christmas Day?
Training is obviously important before our game on December 26 but after that I'll probably just stay at home with my family and have some nice food with my mother and father. I think it will be a very nice day.

How does this differ from past Christmases for you?
When I played in Germany, because it was a holiday I went to Korea sometimes to celebrate with the family.

What is traditional at Christmas in South Korea?
For me, Christmas is a very special time. In Korea it's not celebrated in the same way like Europe but it's still a celebration. It's always nice to spend time with my family at this time of year.

What is your favourite festive meal?
Now that I'm in England I've just tried turkey for the first time – it was nice! In Korea it's not the same and we have no special food for Christmas Day. But the turkey was good!

What do you wish for at Christmas?
That everyone stays fit and that Spurs can have a good season.

What was your most memorable gift as a child?
That's an easy answer – a football!
