Heurelho Gomes has stressed the importance of victory at The Hawthorns on Sunday after we were held to a goal-less draw by Fulham at The Lane on Boxing Day.
We now travel to face bottom-of-the-table West Brom with only goal difference keeping us out of the bottom three ourselves.
The Boxing Day draw means we have taken only two points from our last three league games, but the goalkeeper feels we are deserving of more.
And this is the attitude Gomes feels we should take into the clash with Tony Mowbray's men, in what he sees as a must-win game.
"West Brom is now a very important game - it's like a final for us. It's an away game and it won't be easy, but we have to win," said the Brazilian.
"When we play at home we hope to take the three points, but we could take only one against Fulham. It's difficult because we had our chances but couldn't score.
"We've played well in the last two games, and maybe an extra 10 per cent would have seen us win them both.
"We need to win as many games as we can because teams around us are winning, so it makes it hard for us when we don't do the same."
