Today we announce our support for Mums Matter, a campaign developed by SOS Children, the Club's international charity partner.

Mums Matter aims to raise awareness of the role that over 5,000 SOS mothers play in improving the lives of thousands of orphaned and abandoned children around the world.

Tottenham Hotspur’s players, who each sponsor an SOS child as part of the Club’s partnership with the charity, are fully behind the Mums Matter campaign.

They aim to encourage fans to help SOS Children give more children around the world a great mum and the best possible opportunity to lead a happy, successful and fulfilling life.

Over the course of the campaign, content focusing on SOS mothers and the children they work with will feature across our online media platforms, as well as in matchday programmes and on White Hart Lane’s big screen at home games.

The campaign partnership will culminate at our home match with Blackburn Rovers on Sunday, April 29, when our players will warm up for the game in campaign t-shirts and a percentage of all sales in Club merchandise stores that day donated to SOS Children.

Supporters can donate further via text to 70070, referencing ‘MUMS55’ and the amount they wish to donate.

Scott Parker is our Mums Matter Ambassador, and he believes the upbringing he received from his Mother has been key to his professional success.

The midfielder said: "I couldn't have achieved what I wanted in my career without the support and dedication of my mum. So for me, it is unimaginable to think that so many children worldwide are growing up without the love and care of parents and especially mothers, that's why I'm supporting the Mums Matter campaign.

“All the players here at Tottenham Hotspur are proud to be supporting Mums Matter because we believe every child has the right to a loving family. All around the world, SOS mothers are providing love and care for some of the most vulnerable children, so I'll be asking everyone I know to get behind the campaign so that even more children can have a family for life."
