The England goalkeeper was unveiled at Spurs Lodge today after finalising a £1.5m deal yesterday.
At Elland Road for 10 years, Paul was pictured in tears with team-mate Alan Smith across the nation's newspapers after relegated Leeds' final home game against Charlton Athletic last week.
"It was a big wrench for me personally because I've been at Leeds since I was 14 and that's all that I've known," said Paul.
"It's like moving away from home but they needed me to go and I probably needed to go to further my career, so it's worked out for all of us.
"I said my farewells at Leeds yesterday and there were a few supporters up there, all wishing me well and there were no bad feelings. It was a very nice day for me and last week will always stay with me.
"Thankfully I've joined a huge club and I can look forward now rather than back."
