The big defender was despondent alongside the rest of the squad as we were shot down by Chris Coleman's men after a win against Leeds and fine draw at Liverpool.
But he reckons that result could act as a spur as we prepare to take on Chelsea - just like the 3-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough last September, a result followed by three straight wins.
"We need to move on from Fulham," insisted Dean at Spurs Lodge. "I remember the same thing happened last season against Middlesbrough and sometimes it can give you a jolt in the right direction.
"Everyone felt disappointed in the changing room afterwards and it's not a feeling you want to experience often. Hopefully it will spur us on to better performances.
"Chelsea are next, we know all about what has happened there but I'm sure it will be a good game and one we're looking forward to."
Dean Richards turns the clock back a year for inspiration as we attempt to move on from the disappointments against Fulham last time out.
