We welcome Everton to White Hart Lane on Saturday for our fourth game of the season after a narrow opening day defeat at Manchester United was followed up with consecutive score draws against Stoke City and Leicester City.
Having worked hard to take the lead in the latter two fixtures, we were pegged back on both occasions, meaning we’re yet to take three points from any of our matches in 2015-16.
Midfielder Mousa is refusing to be downbeat over that fact, however. He says the players have learned from their early mistakes and now have Everton firmly in their sights as we look to claim victory in front of our own fans this weekend.
“I feel very confident to be honest – everybody is very focused at the moment,” said the Belgian international, who has been utilised in an attacking midfield role so far this term.
“We’re disappointed about the results but we’re not disappointed about the way we’ve played for the most part.
“There have been a few bits in our matches that we need to improve on but in general we’re very positive and we have a lot of confidence to produce a good result against Everton.
“Of course, we mustn’t make the same mistakes that we did in our recent games, but in a way it’s better that we’ve done this at the beginning of the season because we’ve learned from it and we won’t make the same errors again.”
