Our in-form left-back produced a scintillating individual display as we took on Burnley in our final game before the festive period.
Energetic and wholeheartedly committed all over the pitch, it was somewhat fitting that the 26-year-old popped up with the winning goal 19 minutes from time as we came back from a goal down to triumph 2-1.
Midfielder Mousa was full of praise for Danny this week, but insisted the flying full-back’s talents are not a surprise to him.
“Danny is playing amazingly well,” said the Belgian international, who returned to the starting line-up against the Clarets after sitting out last week’s 3-0 home win over Hull City with a foot injury.
“We train and play every day with him, we know how good he is and it’s nice that he got the winner on Sunday.
“We’re really happy that everybody is seeing what he can do. I think in the past he’s played very well but now more and more people are seeing what he’s really capable of. We’re very happy with everybody’s performance against Burnley but he was the star of the night.”
