The hard work of pre-season is well underway as Mauricio Pochettino and his staff aim towards our Premier League opener at Newcastle on Sunday 13 August.
We've enjoyed such impressive, progressive seasons in the Premier League. Third in 2015-16, we tore up Club bests to finish second in the competition last season including most wins, fewest defeats, most goals scored, fewest conceded and most points.
This is where that aforementioned drive kicks in. "We’ve had two good seasons, played well, earned respect and it’s important we don’t just take things for granted next season, and I know we won't do that," said Mousa, who is approaching 200 appearances for us (he's on 197).
"If the mentality stays the same then we don’t have to fear anything. I believe 100 per cent that we’ll improve again. The mentality is so strong and I firmly believe the more you play together, the more you know each other, the easier it is.
"I want to improve my performances. To do that you have to believe in yourself and work hard. That’s not difficult in this team because you only have players who want to work hard. It’s just a matter of following what everyone does and hopefully I’ll get there."
