The Belgium international has started 26 of a possible 30 matches so far, including 19 of 22 as we sit third in the Premier League.
He's scored crucial goals as well and was on target in our famous 3-2 win at Old Trafford in September - although his goal was later ruled an own goal by the dubious goals panel.
More recently, he hit the winner as we fought hard to break down a tight Swansea unit at the Lane.
"I wanted to be ready when I came to the Premier League and I felt ready when I came to Tottenham," said Jan. "I think I’ve done okay, but you haven’t seen my best yet. I think I can improve.
"I’m happy with my first six months, played a lot of games, feel the confidence of the players, staff and supporters as well.
"After six months, I think I can be happy with my performances. The fans have been very supportive, I love them as well!"
The former Ajax skipper and Dutch Player of the Year in 2012 switched Amsterdam for London this summer and has taken both the club and Premier League by storm with his performances at centre-back and left-back.
