On Wednesday against Fulham at Loftus Road Perry took a sickening blow to the face after himself and Pierre Wome went full pelt for a loose ball. He bravely took his place in the starting line-up against the Hammers but, after 31 minutes, sustained a nasty cut above the knee that required hospital treatment.
"Chris Perry has got a nasty, nasty cut right down to the bone," reported Glenn after the game. "A bad one just above the knee. He's gone to hospital to have it seen to. It has to be cleaned, it's a deep one.
"He has had a bad week, he showed a lot of character to play here. It took a lot of courage for him to play here after that horrific accident."
Mauricio Taricco did not appear after the break, feeling the effects of a groin injury that kept him out against Fulham.
"Taricco has got a groin strain," confirmed the boss. "He missed the game on Wednesday because of this and it was touch and go whether he could play today."
Chris Perry's week went from bad to worse when he ended up in hospital after he was stretchered off against West Ham on Sunday following a collision with Freddie Kanoute.
