MORE OF THE SAME

Michael Dawson expects more of the same when the team step out at the Hawthorns tonight - another robust test of our top four credentials.

Michael Dawson expects more of the same when the team step out at the Hawthorns tonight - another robust test of our top four credentials.

Last season's great escape artists, like Birmingham, are in need of the points - although in West Brom's case it is to stay out of the bottom three, rather than to get out. That said, the Baggies are not in bad shape, having won two and drawn two in their last four.

Our team are now unbeaten in six following the 2-0 win over Birmingham on Boxing Day.

"We got the win and a clean sheet so we are all happy," said Michael. "Birmingham were a tough test, they came here and worked their socks off. We knew it wouldn't be easy and, credit to them, they made it hard for us.

Hopefully everybody went home happy because we got the three points

"It will be another tough one now, as I keep saying, every one in the Premiership is. It will be another battle against West Brom.

"Their forwards will be hard to play against and that is where we have to earn our money - we must win those aerial battles. It is a busy schedule now but, if we can keep picking up three points, we'll all be happy come New Year."

There were fears for the well-being of the central defender when he went down in a heap on Monday not long after Ledley King was forced off, but he reports no lasting damage.

"I don't know what happened, I went down and my left arm was numb and I couldn't seem to move it. It wasn't too bad though and it's alright now."
