Definitely out is Chris Perry after having ten stitches inserted in his knee after coming off worse in a challenge with Mario Melchiot in the first half of Tuesday night’s defeat to Chelsea.
Glenn revealed that Sergei Rebrov and Stephen Clemence were also struggling afterwards, Rebrov with a slight hamstring strain and Clemence with Cramp.
Neither are ruled out of the trip to Anfield at this stage, but it hardly helps with preparation for what was already a tough looking assignment.
Glenn commented: "We’re down to the barest knuckle at the moment, we’ve got academy players who I haven’t even seen kick a ball yet that might be in the squad for Sunday. So that’s the state of the wicket at the moment.
"It doesn’t help when you lose your centre half who was having a terrific game for us and defending well. He’s got ten stitches across the knee, so he’ll be out for Sunday’s game and there’s a few others in there who have got some knocks as well, Stephen Clemence and Sergei Rebrov.
"We’ve got a reserve game that we are trying to cancel and Ireland have got a game coming up where they might want Carr and Doherty, so I’ll put my boots on I think."
Glenn added that of the already injured, Les Ferdinand has an ‘outside chance’ of returning.
Glenn Hoddle has admitted that Academy players, who he has yet to see play, could feature in the squad for Sunday’s trip to Liverpool.
