Harry Redknapp insists the lads will have no problems getting themselves up for Saturday’s massive Premier League clash with Stoke.
We may have suffered a 4-0 defeat at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night but the manager is keen for that result not to take the gloss off our season so far.
The fact that we are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League at the first time of asking is an achievement in itself, and Harry believes anything is possible with eight games left to play in the Premier League.
A top four spot and qualification for next season’s Champions League is the aim, and we although currently sit five points adrift, Harry said: "The mood is good, fantastic mood.
“We’ve had a great season, one bit of a blip the other day but that’s how it goes. We are in a great mood and I have not had to lift them really.
“I look at the whole season and how it has gone. We are not out of it yet. Nothing is impossible. Who knows what can happen? It has been a fantastic season.
“I have always said it would be tough to make the top four but we managed it last year and we still have a good chance.
“I want us to get as many points as we can. I’ve no idea how many we’ll need. It never works that way. You can’t pick results.”
But the points are all the more vital now since picking up just four from a possible 12 in recent league games.
However, Harry continues to remain positive, adding: “We’ve made lots of chances, but the form isn’t bad at all. We have had one defeat in our last eight league games and we are playing well. You can’t always win. I have been pleased with the way that we have been playing.”
