Fans flocked to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver – the venue for Wednesday night’s clash with the MLS All-Stars – in their thousands on Tuesday morning to watch our players being put through their paces at a special Open Training event.

Several fitness, shooting and ball control exercises took place on the stadium’s main pitch under the guidance of Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino as we continued our preparations for this week’s prestigious match.

As has been the case since our arrival in Colorado, the venue was bathed in glorious sunshine with supporters in attendance – including members of several official Supporters’ Clubs – creating a tremendous atmosphere by belting out some of the terrace chants regularly heard at White Hart Lane.

There was even a special rendition of ‘Happy Birthday To You’ for home-grown striker and fans’ favourite Harry Kane, who turned 22 on the day.

At the conclusion of the session, the squad stopped to sign autographs and have photos taken with delighted supporters at the side of the pitch.

“It’s great to be here with so many fans who have come out to watch training,” said defender Eric Dier. “They’ve created a great atmosphere and we’re happy to sign some autographs for them and thank them for coming out.”

Recent signing Kevin Wimmer added: “There are so many Spurs fans from America and it’s a big pleasure for us to see them here. Open Training was a lot of fun and I think everyone is looking forward to the game on Wednesday night.”
