All the action from Wednesday night's Carling Cup third round tie at the National Hockey Stadium.

Radek Cerny, Paul Stalteri and Anthony Gardner all made their first starts of the season against MK Dons. Martin Jol made seven changes in total and it was a completely new-look defence from the one that started against West Ham on Sunday with Cerny, Stalteri and Gardner joined by Calum Davenport and Reto Ziegler. The other changes saw Hossam Ghaly and Danny Murphy both back in the starting line-up. It was also a strong bench including Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane, Aaron Lennon, Michael Dawson and goalkeeper Marton Fulop.

THE KEY ACTION...

1min: Early scare as Platt threaded pass through to McLeod, got goal side of Gardner and Davenport, Gardner make excellent tackle at full stretch.

6mins: Platt 25-yarder straight at Cerny.

12mins: Davids 30-yarder on the volley zipped just wide.

13mins: SAVE. Defoe picked up ball in left channel, cut inside two defenders and struck low shot that was heading inside the near post until Baines got down low to his right to save.

18mins: Murphy floated pass to Ghaly at far post, would have been half a chance but Ghaly's touch failed him at crucial moment and ball cleared.

25mins: McLeod curled 25-yard free-kick over.

27mins: YELLOW CARD - SPURS. Huddlestone for foul on Dyer.

34mins: GOAL - SPURS. Davids clipped pass wide to Ziegler on left, he drove in low cross to near post swept into the top corner by Mido.
