Hossam Ghaly reflected on a combination of satisfaction and disappointment after the 3-3 FA Cup draw with Chelsea on Sunday. It was an early afternoon of high drama again where one of our fixtures were concerned. An early lead was cancelled out before a 3-1 advantage was recorded before the break - the third goal netted by Hossam himself, stemming from a run that began deep in our own half.

There was always going to be a reaction from the home team in the second period, but there were chances to seal it, most notably when Aaron Lennon burst through and was foiled by the legs of Petr Cech and Jermain Defoe's thumping effort that rattled the bar in the closing moments.

"We played a good game and scored goals, but we conceded from set pieces and that has been a problem," reasoned the tough tackling midfielder. "We were unlucky, but I think we are doing well and scoring three goals away at Chelsea is a big thing.

"We are now looking forward to the game at White Hart Lane where we can do something better. We were always leading and came very close to finishing the game as winners so we are disappointed."

On his own goalscoring contribution to the encounter, the recently engaged Hossam revealed there were a few factors behind his celebration.

"I don't score a lot so it was a big goal for me. I was very happy to score such a goal for us, the fans and it meant a lot to me. I kissed my engagement ring as part of my celebration to show that the goal was also for my fiancé."
