Scott Parker achieved his goal of helping England qualify for the finals of a major tournament on Friday.
The midfielder said he would take great pride in helping England over the final hurdle and taking a point against Montenegro.
He started and played the full 90 minutes as the Three Lions gained the necessary point with a 2-2 draw in Montenegro to top Group G and qualify automatically for next summer's European Championship finals in Poland/Ukraine.
Scott was involved in the build-up to England's first goal as the Fabio Capello's men stormed into a 2-0 lead in Podgorica. Ashley Young headed home the opener and Darren Bent made it 2-0 after 31 minutes.
The home side battled back for a point to guarantee a play-off place when Andrija Delibasic headed home for 2-2 in the 91st minute.
