Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A double from Robbie Keane and one from Fredi Kanoute saw us home 3-1 in an entertaining Peace Cup clash against Sundowns on Monday.


GUIDE TO THE ACTION
2mins: Delightful flick from Routledge released Kanoute down right flank, took shot early and blazed wide.


3mins: Peter Ndlovu led Sundowns counter, ball loose in box, Ndlovu volley straight at Cerny.


6mins: Another quick break from Peter Ndlovu, turned away from Davenport but wasted cross.


10mins: CHANCE. Baloyi came to collect Reid's free-kick, dropped it but Kanoute taken by surprise and couldn't direct header towards goal.


17mins: Kanoute break down left but again lashed shot wide of mark.


27mins: Long diagonal pass intended for Sandile Ndlovu found its way through to Dladla, Edman initially caught wrong side but made up for it with superb sliding block.


30mins: Cerny out quickly to collect as Kannemayer looked for Mgwenya over the top.


31mins: CHANCE. Peter Ndlovu pulled cross behind defence for Mgwenya who dragged badly wide from 18 yards.


32mins: Ball over top found Peter Ndlovu breaking forward, weak shot saved by Cerny.


34mins: GOAL. Huddlestone hooked clearance back into Sundowns box, defence caught square, Keane left alone, controlled, skipped past Baloyi and slotted into empty net.

36mins: CHANCE/PENALTY? Reid picked out Kanoute's perfectly-timed run, through on goal, went past Baloyi but was leant on by Mhlongo chasing back and shot wide from tight angle. Penalty appeals waved away.


41mins: CLOSE. Brilliant, pacy break, Routledge one-two with Kanoute then released Keane, Baloyi out of area, Keane lobbed him but not enough pace on ball and Mhlongo able to hack away.


Half-time: Sundowns 0, Spurs 1


Half-time: SUB. Tainio for Mendes.


46mins: Mgwenya volley from 20 yards flew just wide with Cerny at full stretch.


47mins: CHANCE/BLOCK. Nladla in behind defence, laid ball back for Peter Ndlovu but Gardner there to make superb block.


50mins: Johannes measured pass behind Davenport and Gardner for Sandile Ndlovu but Cerny out quickly to gather.


51mins: GOAL. Tainio released Routledge clear on goal, took his time and hit firm shot that Baloyi did well to parry but ball went straight to Kanoute who controlled and hit low half-volley past two defenders and home.

54mins: CHANCE. Measured 50-yard pass from Huddlestone to Routledge down right flank, tricks left Kannemeyer for dead, cross inches over Kanoute and Keane eventually crowded out.


55mins: SUB. Chabangu for Moriri.


56mins: Mgwenya curled free-kick high and wide.


57mins: GOAL. Reid's low driven cross skied by Mhlongo, Kanoute underneath it, loose ball pounced on by Keane who lashed home from 12 yards.

62mins: Chabangu tried his luck from narrow angle but Cerny always in control.


64mins: SUB. Lennon for Reid.


66mins: SUBS. Sapula and Acevedo for Sandile Ndlovu and Ngwena.


71mins: Mlongho ambitious effort from 30 yards always rising.


75mins: WOODWORK. Routledge pass released Keane, chipped Baloyi but ball came back off underside of crossbar and bounced to safety.


78mins: GOAL. Sapula slid in Chebangu, left side of box, low shot across Cerny into far corner as Davenport tried to get across.

78mins: SUB. El Hamdaoui for Kanoute.


79mins: Routledge beat a couple of players before releasing El Hamdaoui but incorrectly flagged for offside when clear on goal.


81mins: SAVE. Acevedo burst into box, low cross behind everyone found Chabangu at far post, Cerny across line to block with legs.


81mins: SUB. Marney for Huddlestone.


82mins: CHANCE. Sapula cross found Peter Ndlovu clear, free header straight at Cerny.


86mins: MISS. Sapula started move, passed into Chabangu, shot blocked but loose ball fell to Sapula who continued run but somehow fired over from six yards.


89mins: OFF LINE. Peter Ndlovu goalbound shot blocked on line by Davenport.


Injury time: WOODWORK. Sapula cross met by Peter Ndlovo at far post, downward header struck foot of post.


Injury time: Marney lovely pass to supporting Kelly, cross found Keane, shot blocked and then El Hamdaoui effort blocked.
