The Latics gained an impressive away point at title-chasing Chelsea on Monday to move six points clear of the relegation zone in the Barclays Premier League.
However, it’s their home form that will ultimately keep them up - eight wins in 16 so far including four wins and a draw against Arsenal in their last five games at the JJB.
“It’s not about quality, it’s not about being good enough as a team or about the opposition, it’s about being strong mentally,” stressed Gus at Spurs Lodge this week.
“If anyone thinks it’s going to be a nice game - stay in London. It won’t be easy and they will fight to the end.”
