The Slovenian international, a 35th minute substitute for the injured Gus Poyet, was in prime position on 63 minutes when a low Stephen Carr cross found him clear in front of goal six yards out.
Somehow, from his effort, the ball looped up and bounced on top of the bar and the scoreline remained 1-1.
"I am disappointed because I didn't score," said a dejected Milo afterwards. "With my chance we could have won the game.
"It was a terrible night for me. If we had won I could have forgotten this, but I cannot forget this.
"It was difficult for me and I really don't know what to say.
"I was just watching the ball, it was there and then it just went up - I don't know what happened."
Milo, who has enjoyed little first team action since the opening stages of the season, agreed that it would be counter productive to allow the miss to pray on his mind for too long.
"I will wait for my next chance."
Milenko Acimovic was devastated over missing the chance that could have sealed the three points against Fulham on Monday night.
