The Slovenian international midfielder will join us from Red Star Belgrade on a four-year contract once work permit formalities are concluded.
Capped 39 times and a key player for his country, Milenko beamed: "This is a big club. I knew that before I even came here. It's a special club here in England.
"I am very, very happy. I've looked around the ground, the stadium is beautiful, nice fans, every game here is full.
"I know the Premier League is very hard. They play hard football and there are a lot of good teams and every game is a big game. I know that it will be a lot of hard work for me to play in England because there are only very good players in this league."
The 25-year-old was elevated to superstar status in his home country after scoring a crucial goal against Ukraine to take Slovenia into the European Championships in 2000.
He was on target again as Slovenia - who finished second behind Russia but ahead of Yugoslavia and Switzerland in Group A - beat Romania over two legs to reach this summer's World Cup Finals.
There will be more from Milenko on the Official Spurs Website tomorrow.
Milenko Acimovic has expressed his delight after agreeing to join the club this afternoon.
