Mido admits the performance of Nottingham Forest in the original FA Cup 5th round tie at White Hart Lane took him by surprise.
Forest, labouring in the bottom three of the Championship but fast-improving under new boss Gary Megson, soaked up the inevitable pressure from our team for long spells and were not short of attacking intent themselves in a game that finished all square at 1-1.
"Yes, I was surprised when I saw the level Nottingham Forest were playing in the last game," reflected Mido ahead of Wednesday evening's replay at the City Ground. "They came to Tottenham, played to win and it surprised me.
"They have a good team with quality players and, for me, it is a surprise that they play in a lower division."
With this in mind, the striker knows the team face a big challenge in order to secure a quarter-final date with Newcastle.
"It will be a tough game, I think we made it difficult for ourselves at White Hart Lane and should have won there. Now we have to do our job away, it will be hard but we have to be very strong - as strong as them.
"It is a good chance for them to win and we have to play well because in cup games you never know what is going to happen. We have to be ready for every situation.
"I think we have a good chance in the FA Cup and I have a good feeling about it. If we can get past Nottingham Forest I think we have a good chance against Newcastle away."
