Michel Vorm: “I’m 100% sure our time will come”

Michel Vorm has just about seen it all in his career yet Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final loss against United clearly hit hard.
The Dutch goalkeeper maintained his 100 per cent starting record in the competition this season but was left devastated with his team-mates as United came from behind to win 2-1 at Wembley.
“The disappointment is big because if you dominate a game like that normally you end up as a winner,” said Michel, who signed his first professional contract at FC Utrecht in 2000.
“If we can keep a clean sheet in the first half or score the second goal, these kind of things, but it’s just if, if, if…football can be cruel and this is one of those days. We gave everything.
“We deserve it, our fans deserve it. We will learn from it. At the moment it’s tough to understand but in the long run we need to keep going and stay positive.”
Michel missed last season’s FA Cup semi-final through injury - Pau Lopez was on the bench - and was pleased to get the nod to start.
“I played through the tournament and I think I’ve done alright,” he added. “I train hard every day and if I get the chance to play a semi-final like this that gives me the confidence but it’s also something I think I deserve in the way I act as a professional and as a team-mate and a person. I enjoyed every moment and it’s a shame it’s come to an end.”
