Our club skipper was delighted with the performance of the team as we swept aside Stoke City on Sunday in our final outing of 2013.
And as we travel to face Manchester United on New Year’s Day – returning to a venue at which we earned a famous 3-2 victory last term – Daws insists we don’t fear the reigning Premier League champions, especially in the wake of our performances against them in 2012-13.
“We go there full of confidence,” said Daws, who will be hoping to make the 400th senior appearance of his career on Wednesday.
“Last year we enjoyed our first win at Old Trafford in many years and hopefully we can do it again.
“We also had a good 1-1 draw here at the Lane when we could maybe have won the game.
“But regardless of last season, Manchester United are a top team and we go there looking forward to the game.”
