It was reported on Tuesday that Spurs lost out to Middlesbrough in the race to sign Italian striker Massimo Maccarone from Empoli amid earlier reports that we are on the trail of Portuguese striker Nuno Gomes.
The boss is eager to squash the rumours and continues to scrutinise the transfer market and constantly monitors the progress and availability of potential targets.
"The build-up to every season sees speculation and rumour from the press regarding transfers and this year is no different," reflected Glenn.
"We have not been interested in any of the players named in the papers this week, including Gomes and Maccarone. The Gomes story made me laugh - I appear to have been to places without even knowing I went!"
"I am working closely with the Board to ensure that we have strength and depth in our squad for the coming season."
Glenn added that supporters should not place too much credence on speculation and assures that our website will be first to receive news of any confirmed recruits.
"We are looking at players and the minute we have any news you'll read about it here on the official website - take everything else with a pinch of salt!"
Glenn has put the record straight on stories circulating suggesting that he has been thwarted in his attempts to bring transfer targets to the club.
