Spurs U19s 0-0 Reading

Boss Pat Holland was left struggling for positives after this goalless draw - although Marcel McKie impressed on his promotion from the U17s.

"Yes, Marcel looked very comfortable," reflected Pat. "But it was a disappointing game really, a bit after the Lord Mayor's Show after winning at Leeds in the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday.

"Conditions were poor and the wind made it hard for either side to play football. It ended up quite a physical, scrappy game.

"I can't remember one chance in the first half, credit to our defence, but we had the wind in the second half and hoped we might create a bit more but it didn't happen for us.

"It was disappointing and all I can put it down to is perhaps the boys were a bit tired from last week."

Spurs U19s: Burch, Kelly, McKie, Thomas (Wettner, 75), Henry, O'Donoghue, Barnard, Marney, Sutton (Lee, 85), Slabber, Galbraith. Unused: Jalal, Herron.
