Out injured for four months, the 19-year-old made his comeback in our Spurs XI friendly against Fulham at the Training Centre.
Starting alongside Grant Ward in a central role, the Northern Ireland youth international completed 66 minutes before being replaced by Under-18s midfielder Charlie Owens.
A brace from Daniel Akindayini and a late strike from Will Miller gave us a 3-1 win, with Aaron confirming: “It feels brilliant to be back on the pitch.
“I felt sharp getting the tackles in, there were maybe a few sloppy passes but that’s to be expected in my first game back so I now need to cut them out and push on. All the lads helped me through, I’m feeling strong and it’s great to be back out on the grass again, playing and doing what I love.”
Reflecting on the match, Aaron added: “It was tough to be fair. Credit to Fulham, they kept the ball well, especially in the first half – they moved us around a lot. After conceding the first goal, the lads’ heads didn’t go down, we just got on with it and I thought as a collective and individually, we played well.”
