Heung-Min Son opened the scoring in the first half at Wembley, Harry Kane added two as we hit a purple patch after the break and Christian Eriksen finished off the move of the match to complete the scoring.
There were a number of chances in-between including Sonny hitting the post.
Sonny’s goal stretched his run to scoring in five home games on the trot in the Premier League while Harry’s double means he is now our all-time top goalscorer in the Premier League on 98, overtaking Teddy Sheringham’s 97.
“The three points were so important for us and I'm so pleased, the players deserve big credit for the performance and the victory,” said Mauricio.
“It's always difficult against a team like Everton, they have a lot of good players and to not concede one shot on target against them is massive credit to everyone, and then we scored four as well. What pleased me most was the performance, the character and the way we took the game to them.”
Was it the best performance of the season? “I don’t know,” said Mauricio. “But it was an amazing performance.”
