Mauricio Pochettino said the team’s ‘motivation is massive’ as we return to Premier League action against Watford at Wembley this evening (8pm).

The weekend’s results have seen fifth-placed Chelsea close to within two points of us while Liverpool’s draw at home to Stoke means we can overhaul the Reds with our games in hand.

However, Mauricio isn’t looking beyond Watford. The Hornets are six without a win in the Premier League but Mauricio expects a ‘tough, difficult’ encounter against Javi Gracia’s team.

“All the games are difficult - Manchester City, Brighton, Manchester United - always tough,” said Mauricio.

“The motivation for them is to play at Wembley. For us, the motivation is massive, to keep the distance with Chelsea and try to catch Liverpool and Manchester United.

Our challenge is to move on after the (FA Cup) semi-final and win these three points.

“We are focused and the most important thing is to finish well and to try to keep our position. To be in the top four is most important. The objective is to play Champions League next season and that’s the priority now for everyone.”

A reminder that tonight’s kick-off is 8pm at Wembley.
