The squad was back together on Thursday with full focus on the final seven matches of the Premier League campaign.
We kick-off at Anfield tomorrow (Saturday, April 2, 5.30pm) sitting in second, five points behind leaders Leicester City.
Has it been strange being without a game for two weeks?
Mauricio: "Yes, because when you play, play and play three games every week it’s difficult to then stop, but it’s been good to have an international break to recharge the batteries. It’s difficult for us because nearly all our players are involved in national squads but now it’s the last seven games, we need to be fresh and to try to compete in every game."

What did you make of our players on England duty - especially the win in Germany?
Mauricio: "It was fantastic for them and us too, we feel very proud. It was good experience for them to win against Germany and good for their development. That’s important for them and us too. Now we need to focus on our objective, the last seven games and the first at Liverpool. We are at a good level and there is a good atmosphere at training."
Jurgen Klopp's first game in charge of Liverpool was our 0-0 draw at the Lane in October - what have you made of their progress?
Mauricio: "It’s always difficult to arrive in the middle of the season and to set out your ideas. Liverpool have a very good team, very good players and Klopp is a great manager. We expect a very tough game."
What type of match are you expecting?
Mauricio: "It’s a battle. We need to fight, we need to show we are better and fight for a big objective. First of all, we need to perform and show we deserve to win."

How are the lads in terms of mentality for these final seven games?
Mauricio: "All I will say is that this group of players believe and want to fight to try to achieve big things."
