He described Sunday’s loss as ‘two different games’ as we dominated the first half and led 1-0 only for Newcastle to turn it upside down with two goals in the last 15 minutes.
The disappointment was palpable in the tunnel afterwards but Mauricio said it was important to stay positive.
“We need to learn about our last game,” he said. “We all feel disappointed about the result and how we played in the second half.
“It was two different games - the first half was fantastic but the second half was not so good in how we need to play.
“This week has been good and we need to show tomorrow that we’re strong enough.

“But it’s difficult to understand why we even speak about positive and negative. We are fifth in the Premier League, we have a lot of games ahead and I think the important thing is to always be positive and try to improve.
“After 14 games unbeaten, we lost one game and then start to worry, about what?
“In football you need to be brave, to show you want to improve and try to win every game but at the same time, you need to understand that your opponents sometimes play better than you, sometimes you have a bad day and you can lose.
“The important thing is to recognise that, to analyse, to assess and try to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
