Our popular manager guided us to six wins out of six in the Premier League last month, the team keeping clean sheets in all but one of them while scoring 16 goals at the other end.
We followed up on our 2-0 win at Burnley on April 1 with a fantastic late burst to come back from a goal down to win 3-1 at Swansea City four days later.
Then came back-to-back 4-0 home wins over Watford and Bournemouth and, although we slipped to a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea in our FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on April 22, we recovered to claim a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace before rounding off the month with a 2-0 home victory against rivals Arsenal.
It’s been this kind of form that has seen Mauricio nominated for Barclays Manager of the Month in four out of the last five months, although this represents the first time he’s won the award this season.
Last term, Mauricio picked up the prize twice – in September, 2015, and February, 2016.
