The tour proved a big hit with the players attending numerous events, meeting the fans, coaching kids and taking time to visit the offices of our Global Principle Partner, AIA.
At the same time, Heung-Min Son, Ben Davies, Kyle Walker and Kevin Wimmer thrilled crowds on a whistle-stop tour of Seoul as Sonny returned home to South Korea.
The quartet jetted into Hong Kong on Thursday, ahead of our final match of a wonderful season, a 4-1 win against Hong Kong champions and treble-winners Kitchee SC in front of 28,000 fans at the Hong Kong National Stadium on Friday night.
“It was incredible for ourselves and the players to be able to share this trip to Hong Kong,” said Mauricio. “It was such an excellent way to end the season with that fantastic atmosphere at the game. That was a special time to share with our fans.
“The fans are amazing and I thank them all for their support and for their warmth. It is something we will all remember forever.
“It has been a great few days that we've all enjoyed. We were made to feel so welcome and we’ll always be grateful.
“Now it’s time for many players to have the responsibility of working with their national teams and for us, to start to work for next season.”
Our Global Coaching team also made their mark in the community, teaching the ‘Spurs way’ and providing coaching for over 500 youngsters and 100 coaches.
