We’ve been handed an away trip to Manchester United on the opening day of the new campaign, swiftly followed by a home clash with Stoke City and a visit to Leicester City in mid-August.
Home matches against Manchester City and Liverpool follow in September and October, before the first North London derby of the season takes place at Arsenal in early November.
Having analysed our schedule, Head Coach Mauricio says he’s eagerly anticipating the start of pre-season training and our summer matches as we prepare for the first domestic game at Old Trafford.
“We are excited to start the league and compete,” he said. “In the Premier League you need to play consistently against all teams and we’re looking forward to the new season with the first game away to Manchester United.
“It’s always good to play a tough side like United and it’s true that we need to learn from certain games in the past, but we need to be confident and we need to believe.
“This is our mentality, so we will prepare for the season in a good way. We have no pre-season tour so we can maximise our training at home and then use the competitive summer matches that we have lined up, against top-class opposition, as final preparation for the Premier League season.
“We will work hard in pre-season to arrive at the first match at 100 per cent with the confidence to do well. With the new season comes new challenges and we are already looking forward to the start of pre-season training.”
