Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Matthew Etherington has won his first England Under-21 cap and impressed as a substitute in Tuesday's 1-0 win in Slovenia.

The young winger, 20, came on at half-time for Blackburn's David Dunn and was a constant threat down the left-hand side, providing chances for Malcolm Christie and Jermaine Pennant.

In the end a single strike from Newcastle's Shola Ameobi was enough to give England a 1-0 victory in Nova Gorica and maintain David Platt's unbeaten run as coach.

Ameobi, introduced on the hour, met Christie's cross after 65 minutes.
