Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Anthony Gardner and Matthew Etherington are in David Platt's England U21 squad for Tuesday's friendly against Italy.

Defender Anthony will be hoping for a first U21 cap at Valley Parade while winger Matty will be looking to build on his fine debut performance against Slovenia last month.

It will be familiar territory for Matty - he spent a successful three months on loan at Bradford City from October-December this season.

Ex-Spur Peter Crouch is also named in the squad for the first time.

Platt feels that the match-up with Italy will be an excellent test for his young side.

"Italy set the benchmark for Europe in Under-21 football," he explained as he named the squad on the FA's official website.

"We are playing them in the European Championship in Switzerland so this game represents the ideal opportunity to measure our progress and preparation."

Squad in full: Robinson (Leeds), Bywater (West Ham); Konchesky (Charlton), Barry (Villa), Knight (Fulham), Wright (Liverpool), Riggott (Derby), Samuel (Villa), Gardner (Tottenham); Davis (Fulham), Jenas (Newcastle), Etherington (Tottenham), Pennant (Arsenal), Parker (Charlton), Prutton (Forest), Wright-Phillips (Manchester City); Smith (Leeds), Christie (Derby), Defoe (West Ham), Crouch (Portsmouth).
