Matt on the run

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Matty Etherington is well aware that it's time to string a run of results together - starting with Liverpool next Sunday.

The lively winger, back in the starting line-up at West Ham last time out, is confident we can put the brakes on Liverpool's three-match winning run that includes the Worthington Cup Final win against Manchester United.

The Reds' 2-0 victory against Bolton on Saturday lifted them into sixth spot in the Premiership, three points ahead of us in ninth. However, we're still only six points off the Champions League pace - despite the disappointment at West Ham.

"We're there and therebouts but we've got to put a run of results together to get amongst it," said Matty.

"Liverpool is a massive game for us. They will be on a high but if we play well enough we'll be more than confident of getting a result.

"We couldn't put a finger on why we didn't play well at West Ham but you get those games sometimes. It wasn't through lack of effort and it's a matter of putting right for Liverpool."
