The 19-year-old could have done just that in midweek but was controversially sent off in the tunnel during the half-time interval of our reserve encounter against Coventry City.
Matt admits his season has somewhat up and down with his Premiership chances limited.
But having been a regular on the bench in recent weeks and knowing that a number experienced players are still on the treatment table, he is hoping that he might get longer to show what he can do in this showpiece finale.
Matt explained: "I’ve been getting 15 minutes here and there this season which hasn’t really been enough. Hopefully if I get a bit longer I might be able to do myself justice.
"It will be a good occasion. They are a good side and whatever side they put out will be a tough game. It’s a great game to finish on and I just hope I'm involved in some way."
