Matt aims for gloss finish

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Matthew Etherington is hoping for the chance to shine against champions Manchester United on the Premiership's final day - and grab his last opportunity this term to impress boss Glenn Hoddle.

The 19-year-old could have done just that in midweek but was controversially sent off in the tunnel during the half-time interval of our reserve encounter against Coventry City.

Matt admits his season has somewhat up and down with his Premiership chances limited.

But having been a regular on the bench in recent weeks and knowing that a number experienced players are still on the treatment table, he is hoping that he might get longer to show what he can do in this showpiece finale.

Matt explained: "I’ve been getting 15 minutes here and there this season which hasn’t really been enough. Hopefully if I get a bit longer I might be able to do myself justice.

"It will be a good occasion. They are a good side and whatever side they put out will be a tough game. It’s a great game to finish on and I just hope I'm involved in some way."
